How to Have Fun With Your Kids During Rainy Days

On those rainy days when the kids can't go out and play, they may get a tad bit restless.
They dread the thought of being indoors for any given amount of time, so it may be a good idea to have some activities set up for them to involve themselves in.
Turn a rainy day into a day filled with fun for the kids. They can do arts and crafts and spend the entire day being creative. Take them to the bookstore to buy new books or to the library to check out their favorite books.
Also try scrapbooking, this will take up a lot of time and this will keep them from getting bored. As long as they stay busy and entertained they won't complain about being indoors all day. Watch reruns or rent their favorite movies.

Grab blankets for all of you to snuggle into together. Let them enjoy their favorite snacks and pop some pop corn. This will make it feel less like a day in which they have to stay indoors, it will feel more like a great family bonding day.
Not only for rainy days, also for weekends and days when there is no school, have a dress up tea party with the smaller kids.

They love to help out in the kitchen as well, so when you are baking cookies and other treats, count them in.

the can also help with making sandwiches for lunch.

Play your favorite board games with the kids.
There are all time favorites like: Scrabble, Uno or dominoes.
If you don't have any board games maybe you can run out and grab a few once you see you guys are in for the day.
When all of the above has been done, allow the kids to make suggestions by placing them into an idea box. They can write down things they would prefer to do on the next rainy day and each time a different kid can choose an idea out of the box. Once the kids realize that being indoors isn't all that bad, they may even look forward to a rainy day.
Fun activities and family bonding can turn into an awesome day.
